The beach camp's budget runs 35,000 to 69,000 baht a month, about 785 to 1,560 pounds: a workspace-ready one-bed in Rawai, Chalong or Bang Tao at 14,000 to 28,000 baht, a scooter as a necessity, and a western food line that the cafe culture inflates happily.
What to watch
Where the money goes wrong is movement. Phuket is spread out and hilly, ride-hail fares add up fast, and a cheap room far from everything becomes expensive in Grab fares and skipped workouts. Budget the scooter line properly, 1,500 to 3,500 baht including fuel, and treat proximity to your coworking or gym as rent, not luxury.
Practical notes
The island's advantages are real: fast internet in most new builds, direct international flights, proper dive and fitness communities, and weekend-island variety. Coworking plus gym runs 4,500 to 9,000 baht a month; the nomad who works from beach cafes can trade that down, at the price of sand in the laptop.
